SABSAR spent memorial weekend searching the River banks of the San Marcos river in Martindale Texas. Starting the search at Don's Fishing Camp for Ben Phillippy. Members from the San Antonio Team and Members from the Gonzales Chapter joined forces to try to locate Ben. 2 canine teams, the equine team, and a ground team criss crossed the river for at least 2 miles in both directions. nothing was located. The case is still open.

SABSAR Gonzales Chapter has another successful search. This morning Aug.16,05 at 9:31 a call came in from the Sheriffs dept Dispatcher for a missing 75 year old women suffering from ALZHEIMER'S who had walked away from her house. Responding was Sergeant Floyd Tolliver of Gonzales County Sheriff Dept. Nixon Fire Dept, SABSAR Gonzales Chapter, and Medic 4. Sergeant Tolliver was able to locate foot prints and tracked her from where she was last seen down a dirt Rd to a brush covered field . The footprint was clearly visible going into the Field. At 10:15 as the search dogs were being deployed , Jim Wilson seen a movement in the brush about 150 yards from the gate. When Roni Braendle with K9 Boomer, Pam Wilson, Brian Scott and a Medic from Medic 4 arrived at the location of movement , Subject was found in good condition at 10:18 and transported to G.V.H. Subject was very lucky because that field is full of rattlesnakes and the temperature was already in the high 90s.
